Aussie yet to score points during the 2014 Moto3 season.
South Australian Arthur Sissis has pinpointed qualifying as the crucial element if he’s to turn around his 2014 Moto3 World Championship campaign.
Sissis has failed to score points since switching to Mahindra Racing this season, finishing 18th at Catalunya on Sunday after climbing from a lowly 27th position on the grid.
“My race was not so bad, but the weekend was quite bad,” Sissis said. “My first session was good, then we changed settings and it didn’t work, and I qualified 27th.
“Being so far back makes the race difficult – you are with slower riders and by the time you get past them the front group has gone. It was exactly like that today, though I did lead my group. I really have to work on qualifying better.”
Sissis’ result in Spain came off the back of two 17th place finishes at Le Mans and Mugello.
