Taree’s Damian Cudlin finished seventh in the Oschersleben round of the 2014 IDM Superbike Championship, won by Spaniard Xavi Fores.

Fores rode the 3C Racing Team Ducati to a pair of victories – eclipsing the lap record in the process. He won race one over teammate Max Neukirchner on the second of the Panigales and Markus Reiterberger (Vanzon-Remaha BMW).

In race two, Fores claimed his second win of the round this time with Reiterberger getting the better of Neukirchner.

“This was a perfect weekend for me and I had to work hard before I had found the right set up,” Fores said. “I’m really happy and grateful for the electronics, which is available to us, and the tyres of the team.”

Cudlin was seventh in both races during his second appearance for the Weber-Diener Kawasaki Team, while teammate Alex Phillis was third Superstock finisher in both races.

In a guest Supersport appearance, World Endurance regular Gareth Jones rode his SMT Honda to 10th in both races.
