South Australian Daniel Falzon (JDR/Caterpillar/EPSA Yamaha) has made it back-to-back pole positions in the Supersport class at Queensland Raceway’s YMF-Loan FX-Superbike Championship on Friday.

Falzon laid down a 1m12.459, which was 0.339sec quicker than local lad Callum Spriggs (Allsite Concrete Cutting/Hydro Construction/YRD/XXX Rated Yamaha).

Falzon described his qualifying as “perfect” apart from having to deal with traffic in the first few laps.

“I came into the pits and just waited till there was a gap,” explained Falzon. “I went out and posted one quick lap which was on my seventh lap which was good enough to secure pole.”

For Spriggs, he admitted he was struggling at the beginning, however he does think he will have a good enough race package for tomorrow’s three races and hopes to be doing low 12s come race time.

Chris Quinn was third on his Coopers Pale Ale Yamaha machine when he posted a 1m12.992 to hold out FX championship leader Aaron Morris (Maxima Yamaha/YRD/Bell/Alpinestars/Watson Demolition).

Morris did hit the deck running during the session after losing the front-end going into turn one and only completed four laps in the 18-minute session.

Aiden Wagner (WagnerSoil Testing/YRD/XXX Rated Suspension Yamaha) rounded out the top five, lapping 0.924s off the pace of Spriggs.
