Racers Edge Performance has outlined its commitment to domestic Australian road racing with Beau Beaton and Craig McMartin on board Ducati 1199 Panigales.

The team, which previously fielded Beaton aboard a Suzuki GSX-R1000 in the ASBK, has teamed up with North Coast V-Twins, Motul Oil, RK Chains, and Craig McMartin Racing to contest the remainder of the 2014 season.

Beaton will complete the Australasian Superbike Championship in the premier class, while McMartin heads up the team’s assault on the Pro-Twins.

The team had a successful debut at Queensland Raceway in round three of the ASC series, with former multiple national champion McMartin scoring pole and all six race wins across the weekend. Beaton meanwhile was sidelined with a broken collarbone.

Racers Edge Performance Team now looks forward to the remaining rounds of the 2014 Australasian Superbike Championship, along with the MotoGP support races at Phillip Island in October.

“Pretty dominant performance really wasn’t it?” said team manager Greg Maher. “The way Craig was riding he would have gone well in the Superbike class as well. This year is all about having fun and getting good results, and that is what we managed to do in Queensland.

“This bike is incredibly different to anything we have been equipped with previously. The bike is so sensitive to changes and we are really enjoyed building a strong relationship with it, we are thankful to have Craig and all of his knowledge to assist us. The fairings were quite complex to make and provided a real challenge that we really enjoyed.”

The next event for the Racers Edge North Coast V-Twins Motul RK team is round four of the 2014 Swann Series at Winton in Victoria.
