Verdict:
The strength of Herfoss at Winton was another step forward in his comeback season and, other than a mistake in race two, chances are he would have edged out Maxwell for the overall win. But you can’t deny Maxwell of doing what he had to and with his round win, he’s regained the series lead from fellow Honda pilot Stauffer – seventh on Sunday despite a broken ankle. The Yamaha’s were back on the pace and led by Halliday in fourth and Bugden in sixth, with Allerton sandwiched in between them.

Verdict:
With Daniel Falzon absent altogether, Wagner put up a huge fight to Morris, but just fell short of the win. Morris stamped his authority on the class again with two wins from three, followed by Wagner with a win in race two. For Spriggs, his return was worthwhile with a podium result after breaking his collarbone in Queensland, while Justin Di Giandomenico and Luke Mitchell were again impressive with top five finishes. With Morris now carrying a 16-point advantage, it’s up to Wagner to track him down from this point.
