British hope Scott Redding will take delivery of a factory Honda RC213V in 2015 upon a return ‘home’ to the Marc VDS team.

After spending his rookie MotoGP season with the Gresini Honda team on board a production RCV1000R, Redding will spearhead Marc VDS’s transition to the premier class in a major part of the silly season.

Earlier, it was confirmed that Redding’s current Gresini Racing team will campaign Aprilias next season, fielding Alvaro Bautista and an expected return of Marco Melandri.

“Marc VDS will move to MotoGP in 2015 with Scott Redding returning to the Marc VDS Racing family. We look forward to welcoming him back!” the brief Twitter post confirmed.

Redding has a strong alliance with Marc VDS, spending all four of his Moto2 seasons with the Belgian team, which will also remain in Moto2 next year fielding Esteve Rabat and Alex Marquez.
