Team Honda Racing’s Josh Hook has continued his stunning Phillip Island form this afternoon during round two of the Phillip Island Championship, contested during the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix weekend.

Hook sliced his way to pole position on board the factory-supported CBR1000RR SP, with his 1m33.082 lap edging ahead of Team Motul Honda rider Wayne Maxwell – the pair quickly rebounding from their opening round clash in February.

PIC leader Jamie Stauffer was third fastest, over a full second off the pace of Hook, on the third of the factory Fireblades, with current triple Australian Superbike Champion Glenn Allerton slotting his Next Gen Motorsports BMW into fourth ahead of Troy Herfoss (Team Honda Racing).

The opening national Superbike support race will take place over an eight-lap duration this afternoon at 5:05pm.
