SA Kawasaki BCperformance has confirmed its 2015 Australasian Superbike Championship line up, campaigning ZX-10R and ZX-6R machinery in the Superbike and Supersport ranks.

Ben Burke will be joined in the Superbike category by Evan Byles, while Paul Young and last year’s FX300 runner-up Kyle Buckley will contest Supersport.

“I’m pleased to be staying with the team for a second term,” Burke said. “Last year was a steep learning curve for us and I am now keen to get back on the ZX-10R and start a fresh with new machinery, thanks to the support of SA Motorcycles and Kawasaki Australia.”

The transition of Buckley to the Supersport class marks one of the major moves of the silly season, determined to challenge for podium positions from the outset following a strong 2014 season.

“So excited for 2015! Being given the opportunity to re-sign with the SA Kawasaki BCperformance team was what I was hoping for,” says Buckley. “After a successful year in the [FX300] Ninja Cup I am looking forward to the next step in my career into the Supersport class.

“I am hoping to be able to fight for the podium from the start and it is satisfying knowing I will have the same team around me.”

The team, which has also received additional support from Sydney-based construction specialists Mahaffey Associates, will make its 2015 debut in the Superbike World Championship support races on 20-22 February at Phillip Island.

SA Kawasaki BCperformance’s Ninja 300 riders are due to be confirmed and announced in the coming weeks.
