Competitors will have another reason to go fast during qualifying at the second round of the 2015 Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul and Pirelli.

The second round of the series, which gets underway from 10-12 April at Morgan Park in Queensland, will feature separate awards for the fastest qualifiers in the Yamaha Motorcycle Insurance Superbike and Yamaha Supersport classes.

The Pirelli Superpole Awards will be given to the fastest qualifiers in each class with a free set of Pirelli tyres on offer as the prize.

One set of Diablo Superbike Tyres will go to the winner of the Superbike Superpole while the Supersport Superpole winner will land one set of Diablo Supercorsa SC tyres.

“Pirelli Moto and Link International are pleased to offer a further incentive for competitors racing in the Australian Superbike Championship in the Superbike and Supersport classes, as part of our partnership with Motorcycling Australia as the Official Tyre Sponsor of the ASBK,” said Don Nicholas, brand manager of Pirelli.

“Pirelli’s involvement in the FIM World Superbike Championship sees an award for Best Lap in both of the premier classes, so it’s only fitting that the premier national Superbike and Supersport Class in Australia received the same recognition from Pirelli.

“The current Diablo Superbike and Diablo Supercorsa used in the world championship is available to Australian riders at Morgan Park, so we look forward to some fantastic competition this weekend, where our technicians will work hard with riders who choose to race on Pirelli tyres to get there best ever lap times.”

The prizes will be given to the winner of both classes at each of the remaining four rounds of the 2015 championship series.
