Visa issues finally resolved for talented Victorian racer.
PR Racing’s Jed Metcher has finally received the correct paperwork to compete in the 2015 British Superbike Championship, three rounds into the season for PR Racing Kawasaki.
Metcher was forced to miss the opening three rounds while finalising his sporting visa, but will return to the UK in time for round four at Snetterton on 19-21 June.
It’s been a mixed year for Metcher to date, winning race four of the International Challenge at Phillip Island’s prestigious Island Class, before contesting the Australian World Superbike round on board a private Race Center entry.
Metcher and his Melbourne-based Race Center team battled a small budget, some fuel pump gremlins and an unfortunate stone in the radiator to still put on a decent showing leaving him fit, in form and full of motivation to begin his BSB assault.
Just two days after his WorldSBK wildcard Jed headed to the UK and then Spain to begin pre-season testing with PR Racing Kawasaki. After the first pre-season test at the Cartagena circuit in Spain, it was discovered he had the incorrect visa, which forced him back to Australia.
