Verdict:
There were three different winners across the trio of races on Sunday, but as we suspected it was Maxwell who captured the overall when all was said and done, now just six points from Herfoss in the standings. Stauffer starred on his way to second in his return from injury, winning race two and clearly satisfied with his showing on Sunday. As for Herfoss, third overall was a good result in a weekend that could have been better if he were to limit mistakes at the heavy braking points. Still, he’s the title leader and was once again one of the quickest on track. It was an up and down day for Mike Jones and Sean Condon as well, while Ben Burke was solid in a number of the races but crashed out of the third. Halliday had his best showing in race two, but was unfortunately hampered by arm-pump for the entire weekend.

Verdict:
Blair was undoubtedly the rider to beat in Supersport at Mallala, winning all three races on Saturday and then the final race for the overall on Sunday. There were a variety of challengers however, with Elliott continuing his run of form on board the Suzuki to win race one and local Jay Presepio charging to the second win of the day much to the delight of his home fans. Eliott still leads the title chase, but Blair and Spriggs, who was consistent for second overall at Mallala, are right there with him. It was a tough SA weekend for Troy Guenther after a crash early in the weekend, but he still put in a number of solid riders for fifth overall.
