Australian Josh Hook has finished 10th in the Motegi round of the 2015 All Japan Superbike Championship, the race won by reigning champion Katsuyuki Nakasuga.

Hook rode his TSR Honda to 12th on the grid during qualifying and remained in that position at the conclusion of the 23-lap race on Sunday.

“The race for us was quite difficult,” Hook explained. “We’ve been struggling through testing and this weekend, we haven’t been able to get the bike the way that I want it at this stage. It’s a bit of a relief to come away with 10th place even though we faded there in the end of the race.

“Overall we had to take the points we could get for this race and see the chequered flag out. I’m looking forward to moving onto the next circuit [Sugo].”

Hook will now look toward testing at Suzuka ahead of next month’s annual 8 Hour event, in which he will team up with Moto2 regular Dominique Aegerter and Pata Honda WSS rider Kyle Smith.
