Experienced Australian Broc Parkes will compete with Monster Energy Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART) at this weekend’s Oschersleben 8 Hours in Germany, the third round of the 2015 FIM Endurance World Championship.

Parkes will line up alongside Sheridan Morais and Ivan Silva this weekend, casting his British Superbike Championship future into doubt as part of the Milwaukee Yamaha outfit alongside countryman Josh Brookes.

BSB will also resume this weekend at Cadwell Park, however Milwaukee Yamaha is yet to confirm who will join title leader Brookes on the second factory YZF-R1. At Thruxton Parkes was ruled out with complications following recent arm-pump surgery, replaced by Adam Jenkinson.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Parkes said of his EWC return. “Oschersleben is a race that I’ve done for the last two years. It’s a track that I normally enjoy, but most of all I’m looking forward to riding with YART again.

“I have had good experiences with them and a good past. At Suzuka we had good speed, but we had an issue during the race, so I’m hoping that we can try to be competitive here and get the win for the team.”

Parkes has endured a difficult debut BSB campaign so far this year, currently 19th in the standings with just two rounds of the ‘main season’ remaining. It’s unclear if he will return in latter rounds.
