Motorcycling Australia Junior Come and Try at V8 Supercars

Peter Goddard to host clinic at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Motorcycling Australia press release:

Motorcycling Australia (MA) would like to advise that they will be running a Junior Come and Try area at the V8 Supercars at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend.

The free clinic, which will be conducted by experienced coaches and riders for children aged four to nine years, will take place in a controlled environment on a range of specialised mini, quad and electric trial bikes kindly supplied by Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Oset Bikes Australia.

All safety gear will be provided, making it the perfect opportunity for first time riders wanting to give it a go. Junior road race riders will also be in attendance with their bikes to help with a Q&A session.

Former Australian Superbike Championship and World Endurance Championship winner Peter Goddard will be on hand to assist with the coaching, and said the clinic was the perfect way to introduce the next generation to the sport.

“It’s a great opportunity for kids to come down and get involved in motorcycling,” Goddard said. “We’ve got it all here; we’re offering both petrol and electric bikes and a one day ‘Come and Try’ permit and of course it’s all free.

“Some kids who will come down will have never ridden a bike before, but the thing is once you have done it, you’ll love it forever. It’s all about giving the kids the opportunity.”

The Motorcycling Australia Come and Try area will be open from Friday to Sunday and will be located on the main straight next to the grandstand.
