It’s promising to be a WorldSBK Island scorcher, with tickets going on sale today for Australia’s launch of the 2016 Superbike World Championship, slated for 26-28 February at Victoria’s Phillip Island.

Opening deals on tickets offer low prices and big reductions on gate prices. Grab a three-day General Admission pass at $115 per adult, with access to Free Paddock Friday and the rider autograph session, plus three big days of on-track racing.

To make it even more affordable, kids 15 and under get in the gate – and camp – for free at WorldSBK.

Want to step up a notch and enjoy the reserved viewing options and convenience of BarSBK? Booked only in advance and just $250 for three days, BarSBK holders have access to three prime, undercover viewing locations at Doohan Corner, Siberia and Lukey Heights.

If you love racing, a visit to WorldSBK at the Australia’s world motorcycling mecca, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, is essential. With six months to plan until next February, there’s no excuses, so grab your mates and map out a summer weekend getaway.

Australia’s much loved circuit, sits on the edge of Bass Strait and is just two hours south of Melbourne. The 4.445km track boasts sweeping corners, the high-speed Gardner Straight where bikes hit over 300 kph as they take the turn into Doohan Corner, and iconic turns like Siberia and Stoner Corner and the ascent over Lukey Heights.

“We have people the world over that come to Phillip Island to watch the racing and for Australians it is right here, just on your back door,” said Fergus Cameron, circuit managing director. “We know with World Supers, the racing is scorchingly fast and intense, with many fierce battles.

“And one of the best things for bike owners, is that you can bring your bike right into the circuit and move to each viewing location, park up, relax and enjoy every twist and turn.”

Backing world superbike will be the world supersport boys kicking off their 2016 campaigns plus Australia’s leading road racing classes.

Phillip Island is revamping their campground to include powered sites and the new layout means go karts will operate all WorldSBK weekend for some extra fun.

On-track camping is priced at $100 per person for four nights and kids under 15 are free, making it a super-affordable family getaway. Alternatively, for hotel and rental house accommodation visit http://visitbasscoast.com.au/region/phillip-island/.
