Provisional 2016 MotoGP calendar released

The provisional 2016 MotoGP World Championship calendar has been released, with the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix moved to the penultimate round of the season.

Next year will see Phillip Island’s stop on the schedule take place on 21-23 October as round 17, one week later than its current date on the schedule as last of the flyaway races.

Major news is that Indianapolis Motor Speedway is off the calendar for the first time since 2008, with the series instead visiting the Red Bull Ring in Austria mid-August.
