A huge grid of Superbikes is set for the grand finale of the 2015 Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli at Phillip Island this weekend.

More than 20 entries are signed on for the Yamaha Motorcycle Insurance Superbike class at the final round of the series from 2-4 October, with newly-crowned champion Mike Jones set to face his toughest challenge for the year.

As well as facing his main rival from 2015, Daniel Falzon, Jones will be up against the bikes from Team Honda Racing, with Troy Herfoss and Jamie Stauffer making the trek to be part of the action.

The action is also set to heat up in the Yamaha Supersport class where Brayden Elliott holds a 20-point lead from closest challenger Kane Burns.

Burns had a stunning event at the penultimate round at Symmons Plains and will be out to take it up to Elliott in the race to be crowned 2015 Champion – keep an eye on the ASBK website on Wednesday for our exclusive chat with Burns ahead of the event.

In the Honda Moto 3/125GP class, Brian Houghton holds a one point lead over Tom Bramich in the closest championship class of the series. And with three separate Production championship classes on the line, it will be an intense weekend of racing.

Also featured at Phillip Island will be the final round of the Australian F1/F2 Sidecar Championship, the Oceania Road Race Championship and the Hartwell Rising Stars (600cc and 1000cc) class.

There will be a trade display, Come and Try area for kids, stunt riding, pillion rides and more.
