Demmery continues learning curve at Wakefield Park

Noise Guard Racing press release:

“Friday was day 1 of round 5 at Wakefield Park in Goulburn. I had not ridden the Yamaha R6 at the tight and twisty track, but I was looking forward to it. I have previously had great results at the track, and like the elevation changes.”

“Friday practice went well, and I was starting to feel a little more comfortable on the bike. Chris had set the bike up great and I wanted to get some great results for my sponsors and supporters.”

“What a difference 12 hrs can make Saturday was wet, cold and windy. The surface was very greasy, and I found out exactly how slippery it was on my first session out by throwing the bike away at turn 2 in the wet. The team worked hard and we managed to get out for qualifying. It really was a question of just surviving! I purposely circulated a bit slower as I really wanted to bring the bike back to the pits in one piece”

“Saturday’s races were in very mixed conditions. Race 1 was wet, Race 2 started dry and finished wet, and the final race was held on a drying track.”

“Sunday was clear and bright and the level of racing showed just how good the guys competing in the championship are. I was able to set a 1.03.0 lap time in the final race, proving we are getting our head around the bike, and learning what is required to make the YRD Yamaha R6 cut quick laps”

“I want to thank NSW Compensation Lawyers for stepping in at the 12th hour and sponsoring the round for me. Vic and the guys have helped me out since 2011, and always dig deep when we need it the most. They will also be assisting me with sponsorship at the Qatar event”

“I’m about to board an overnight flight to Doha in Qatar for round 5 of the Asian Road Racing Championship this coming weekend at the Losail International Circuit. It will be my first ever night race under lights, and I can’t wait.”

“Make sure you check out www.facebook.com/brandoracing for pictures and results from the weekend. Please support my sponsors where you can, without their support, I couldn’t do what I love doing.

See you at the track.
