Yamaha Racing Team with Yamaha Motorcycle Insurance’s Wayne Maxwell swept Saturday’s sixth round of the 2015 Australian FX-Superbike Championship at Winton Motor Raceway in Victoria.

The perfect run of Maxwell has positioned him just five points from title leader Troy Herfoss (Team Honda Racing) entering the final round in Sydney during December. Herfoss was runner-up today.

Completing the overall podium today was Maxwell’s YRT with YMI teammate Glenn Allerton, who went 3-3-2 after edging out Herfoss in the final encounter. He’s a further 18 points behind Maxwell in the series.

Top of the Pro-Am entries was Mike Jones (Australian Outdoor Living – Cube Racing Team Kawasaki) in fourth overall, two points ahead of third factory Yamaha rider Cru Halliday completing the top five.

Positions six through 10 were filled by Jamie Stauffer (Team Honda Racing), Ben Burke (SA Kawasaki BCperformance), Linden Magee (LMR Honda), Evan Byles (SA Kawasaki BCperformance) and Matthew Walters (Kawasaki Connection), who crashed out of race two.
