Suzuki Australia will support Motorcycling Australia’s (MA) Junior Come and Try program in 2016, supplying two Suzuki DR-Z70s and one Quadsport Z50 to introduce new riders to the sport.

Managing director of Suzuki Australia, Masaaki Kato, recently presented the models to MA CEO David Cottee at their headquarters in Port Melbourne.

The new bikes will now be utilised at all Junior Come and Try programs this year to assist in introducing children to the sport in a safe and controlled environment.

“On behalf of Motorcycling Australia, we are grateful for Suzuki’s continued support of the important MA Junior Come and Try programs,” said Cottee. “The development of this program is a fantastic way for the future superstars of tomorrow to get a safe and controlled experience into the world of motorcycling.”

Similarly, Kato said Suzuki was pleased to contribute to the growth of the sport in Australia: “Suzuki is very pleased to partner with Motorcycling Australia, who are fostering the sport of motorcycling. Australia has a wonderful environment to allow children to experiencing motorcycling.

“It is no secret that Australia produces an abundance of champion riders and many of whom started riding mini bikes at a young age and I would like the next generation of riders to start their riding careers on a Suzuki.”
