North Queenslander Jack Miller says his recent broken leg proved ‘no problem’ during MotoGP pre-season testing in dry conditions at Phillip Island on Thursday.

Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS’s Miller was 17th fastest overall at 1m30.514s, however the strength of his fractured tibia and fibula was a positive once the circuit dried for afternoon running.

“I can be happy today,” Miller explained. “The weather improved and we got a lot of laps in on the bike, which is good, and the leg was no problem. The bike is working well, we’re missing a little bit in turn 10, which we need to work on, but we have some ideas as to how we can improve tomorrow.

“I’m really happy with the direction that Michelin have taken with the tyres as they’re working really well here at Phillip Island. I’m looking forward to riding the bike again tomorrow and, hopefully, the weather will stay good for us.”

Despite missing the Sepang test in Malaysia earlier this month, Miller’s time was a tenth faster than incoming premier class teammate, 2014 Moto2 World Champion Tito Rabat.
