Landbridge Racing wraps up official WSS testing

Landbridge Racing press release:

The second and final day of the official FIM World Supersport test came to a close today at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit for the Landbridge Racing team, with pilot Mitch Levy who is making his international debut this weekend.

After a positive day yesterday on track, it proved to be the same yet again as the both Levy and the team made steps forward. The weather conditions were tougher than Monday, due to higher winds and hotter temperatures, but it didn’t stop Levy from improving his overall performance.

In the morning session, Levy posted a personal best time and with a few geometry setup changes between sessions Levy went out and further improved his time on the final lap of the day.

“The Landbridge Racing Yamaha R6 was strong all day,” said Levy. “We are consistent but to improve from our times this morning is a big confidence booster heading into this weekend, both for myself and the team.” The only real drama for Levy today was every time he got into a rhythm, the session would be red flagged.

“The team provided an awesome bike for me today, we made positive progress and are looking to build on this over the weekend” “We’ll spend the next few days looking at data and working out how we can go faster and go from there”

Landbridge Racing’s team owner Sam Costanzo said he was very happy with how the day had gone.

“Mitch has continually gone faster in each session and the bike seems to be performing quite well. We’ll have a think a about a few things over the next few days and come back out on Friday do it all again – for real.”

The action begins on Friday with World SuperSport free practice at 11:30am.
