Link International outlines Australian Superbike tyre support.
Link International has confirmed a major Pirelli tyres contingency package for the 2016 Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli.
The official tyre partner of the series, Pirelli has put together the program in a bid to support privateer riders in all categories, in addition to its reduced tyre pricing for ASBK competitors.
“We are pleased to announce our contingency package for ASBK competitors in 2016,” said Don Nicholas, product manager, Pirelli Moto, at Link International.
“We’re also very pleased to update our tyre homologation options for the new Production class to include the new Diablo Supercorsa SC in this field for the first time, alongside the championship winning Diablo Rosso II HR.”
Motorcycling Australia CEO David Cottee commented: “It is fantastic that Pirelli has shown continued support for our riders, by not only offering technical assistance at the track, but a contingency package to ASBK competitors in 2016.
“Privateers are an integral part of our ASBK field. It’s great that our official tyre Pirelli is able to recognise that and assist our riders even further in 2016.
“We are very grateful to have Pirelli on board with the ASBK this year and look forward to being able to see these initiatives come to life throughout the championship.”
To be eligible for the Pirelli contingency as outlined below, riders must complete and return this form prior to round two at Wakefield Park, use Pirelli tyres and apply logos at all remaining rounds.
Tyres for round two at Wakefield Park can also be ordered by downloading this ASBK Tyre Order Form and emailing it through to [email protected].
