Form

Our pick:
Troy Herfoss – It’s Herfoss’ home track on the schedule and he was reportedly extremely quick in the pre-race testing by all indications. The Crankt Protein Honda Racing rider was off the podium at round one, but we’re certain he’ll be in the mix this weekend.

Next best:
Glenn Allerton – We had Yamaha Racing Team’s Allerton as ‘next best’ prior to Phillip Island as well and he went out there and swept all three races to lead the championship. There’s every chance he can do that again with confidence on his side, but he’s more than aware that Herfoss will produce a stronger challenge this time out.

Outside chance:
Wayne Maxwell – It’s effectively guaranteed that Maxwell will feature in the fight for victory at all rounds, every bit as competitive as Herfoss and Allerton. With a win at round two, it’ll be a major boost in his title hopes early on, however as always he will keep racking up points regardless.

Watch for:
Mike Jones, Cru Halliday, Ant West, Daniel Falzon, Ben Burke.
