Lorini Honda’s Glenn Scott had high hopes of returning to the World Supersport grid this weekend at Sepang, Malaysia, however advice from his doctors has ruled him out.

Scott broke his lower left leg in FP1 at the MotorLand Aragon round of WorldSSP last month and underwent surgery in Barcelona soon afterwards.

“Unfortunately I won’t be heading to Malaysia this weekend for round six,” Scott confirmed. “Heavily advised by the doctors to stay home and give the leg a few more weeks. It’s a real bummer, but I’ll continue my recovery to arrive at Donington in three weeks time ready to rock!”

The Donington Park round of the 2016 World Supersport Championship will take place on 27-29 May, marking the seventh event of the season.
