Elliott bags more points in second American appearance.
Monster Energy/Graves Yamaha’s Cameron Beaubier and Yoshimura Suzuki’s Toni Elias took a race victory each in the Utah round of the 2016 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship on Saturday.
Beaubier was able to claim the opening victory ahead of teammate Josh Hayes by 0.171s and Roger Hayden (Yoshimura Suzuki) in third. Elias meanwhile finished in fourth to open the round.
Come race two it was former Moto2 World Champion Elias who starred with a thrilling 0.120s victory over Beaubier and Hayden, while Hayes rebounded from an early off-track excursion to cross the finish line in fourth.
Australian Brayden Elliott (ADR Motorsports) gradually improved throughout the round in his second MotoAmerica appearance aboard a private Suzuki, finishing 15th in race one and improving for 13th in the second.
