Form

Our pick: Mike Jones – Defending ASBK champion Jones dominated at his home round last year and we’re tipping he’ll be in the frame to do so again this year. The DesmoSport Ducati rider didn’t have a transponder fitted during the recent test, but word is he was unofficially the fastest rider on track.

Next best: Wayne Maxwell – Carrying a five-point lead into the penultimate stop, Maxwell would enjoy nothing more than to stretch that advantage on Sunday. It will be tight and the front, but he seems to have a knack for coming out on top when it counts.

Outside chance: Glenn Allerton/Troy Herfoss – We couldn’t discard either of this pair for victory in Queensland. If they start off on the right foot, get track position in the races and click on the weekend, both Allerton and Herfoss have what it takes to win. And realistically, to win this title, they need to.
