Herfoss’ time from this morning at a best lap record-breaking 1m14.163s saw him top regular qualifying, ahead of Yamaha Racing Team’s Wayne Maxwell and JD Racing Yamaha’s Daniel Falzon.
Behind the impressive leading private entry of Falzon was Cru Halliday (Yamaha Racing Team), as Jamie Stauffer (Crankt Protein Honda Racing) improved in session two to climb to fifth.
Reigning ASBK champion Mike Jones will be the final rider entering Superpole this afternoon in sixth, leaving title contender Glenn Allerton (Yamaha Racing Team) to start from row three in seventh on the grid tomorrow.
