West battles to a top 10 result during second outing.
Astra Honda Racing Team’s Gerry Salim won both Supersport 600 races of the 2016 Asia Road Racing Championship at the Sentul International Circuit in Indonesia on Sunday.
Salim led home teammate Dimas Ekky Pratama and Zaqhwan Zaidi (MUSASHi Boon Siew Honda) in the opening encounter, while in race two Zaidi and Ekky Pratama traded positions.
Anthony West (Akeno Speed WJR Racing Team Yamaha) had a shifter break in race one, but bounced back for seventh place in the second. As for countryman Michael Blair (Finson Motorsports Yamaha), he went DNS-15 for the round.
In the Asia Dream Cup, Aussie talent Broc Pearson had a consistent showing, claiming eighth in race one and improving to seventh in the second outing of the round. Corey Briffa went 13-15 in Indonesia.
