SA Kawasaki BC Performance’s Robbie Bugden capped off a convincing weekend of victories at Sydney Motorsport Park with three more in the Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship today.

Bugden swept to all three seven-lap race wins on Saturday, however it was a mixed bag of results behind him. He’s now stretched his points lead to over 30.

Eventually finishing second overall to Bugden was Beau Beaton (Racer’s Edge Performance/Craig McMartin Racing/North Coast V-Twin Ducati) and third was Michael Blair (IPONE Yamaha).

Despite finishing third in two of three races, Bugden’s teammate Ben Burke had to settle for fourth overall, while Liam Wikinson (Yamaha) rounded out the top five. Zero points in the opening encounter saw Matt Walters (Kawasaki Connection Repsol) claim eighth for the round, but he was second in race three.

The Supersport class was also a clean-sweep at the top of the tables, with Mitch Levy (Yamaha) now tied with Kyle Buckley (SA Kawasaki BCperformance) in the standings. However Buckley could only manage third overall today, the pair split by Giuseppe Scarcella (Honda).

In the FX300 Ninja Cup class it was Hunter Ford who won the round ahead of Tom Toparis and Jack Dawes. The opening two races were topped by Sam Condon, however he was a non-finisher in the final outing.

The Formula Oz class was won by Simon Galloway (Yamaha), Pro-Twins/Nakedbike by Beaton, and the Formula Xtreme – contested within the Superbikes – by Dominic De Leon (Kawasaki).

Round five of the 2016 Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship, the penultimate round of the season, will be held at Queensland Raceway on 28-30 October.
