Australian international Broc Parkes has labelled Assen as one of his favourite circuits on the British Superbike Championship calendar, returning to finish out the season with ePayMe Yamaha.

Parkes was absent from the most recent round, instead contesting the Endurance World Championship round in France, but has fond memories of Assen, including an 11th position in the MotoGP round as a CRT entry in 2014.

“I am really looking forward to this weekend,” Parkes said. “I think it should be one of the best tracks on the calendar for me and hopefully for the ePayMe Yamaha too. The last time I raced at Assen was in MotoGP and with a flag-to-flag race I finished 11th, so I have good memories of the place. Hopefully we can come back and have a strong finish this weekend, I want to end the season on a high at the final two rounds.”

After splitting his time between endurance and BSB during the back-half of this year, Parkes will now be able to maintain focus on the British championship for the final pair of rounds at Assen and Brands Hatch GP.
