Aussie makes gains at Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS.
Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS’ Jack Miller will head into the off-season with renewed confidence in his Honda RC213V following a positive two-day test in Spain this week.
Both Miller and teammate Tito Rabat used an updated chassis at the Valencia circuit, which the Australian indicated was an improvement after recording the 12th fastest lap time.
“During both days of the test I was enjoying riding the bike more and more each time,” Miller explained. “I went out on it and that hasn’t always been the case this season because we’ve been struggling to overcome problems and to build confidence.
“Such a positive test here at Valencia has allowed us to start rebuilding some of the confidence lost and it’s a positive way to end the season and head into the winter break. It also provides a good base from which to work from when we return to testing in Sepang early next year.”
The test also marked Miller’s first time working with his new chief engineer Ramon Aurin, who joins Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS for the 2017 season.
The 21-year-old will recommence testing and developing the RC213V at the first official MotoGP test in January of 2017 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
