The brand new $1.5-billion Sydney International Convention Centre (ICC) in Darling Harbour will be the venue for the 2017 Sydney Motorcycle Show moving from its most recent home at Homebush Bay.

Chief executive of the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), Tony Weber, made the announcement today at the opening of Melbourne Motorcycle Expo at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

“Our motorcycle and ATV industries representatives toured the new ICC while it was in the final stages of construction mid-year and were bowled over by what this new world-class venue offers in terms of its contemporary style, its huge display areas, and of course, the convenience of its downtown Sydney location,” Mr Weber said.

“We’re confident that the ICC has that ‘wow’ factor which will appeal not just to our loyal motorcycle audience but to people who just want to get along to a busy, visually engaging show and see the latest our industry has to offer.”

Troy Bayliss Events has been engaged as the FCAI’s partners for the 2017 show, following on from previous successful collaborations.

The Sydney Motorcycle Show had previously been held at the former Darling Harbour facility in 2013 and was switched to Homebush for 2015 while the huge new 35,500 square metre indoor show space was being constructed. For more information on next year’s show stay tuned to www.troybaylissevents.com.
