American lands deal aboard factory F3 675 for next season.
MV Agusta Reparto Corse has announced American PJ Jacobsen will contest the 2017 Supersport World Championship (WorldSSP) aboard its factory F3 675 as he transfers from Ten Kate Honda.
The 23-year-old recently made his MV Agusta debut during testing and has since secured the ride for next season. He finished fourth in this year’s world championship standings.
“I’m really looking forward to this new adventure with MV Agusta,” commented Jacobsen. “To join the Italian manufacturer is a privilege. Already having a test on the bike in Jerez, I felt really comfortable on the bike after a few sessions.
“I’m really looking forward to next year with MV and seeing what we can accomplish together. I’m excited to get to some more tests on the bike and then I’ll be ready to go for round one. Thanks to MV Agusta for this opportunity.”
Jacobsen will be back on the MV once again at pre-season testing set to begin in January, where the he will work on the development he started at Jerez last week, before the 2017 season gets underway at Phillip Island in February.
