Honda Australia has confirmed local pricing for the 2017 CBR1000RR and CBR1000RR SP Fireblades, which are due to arrive in Australian dealerships in May next year.

The standard 25th anniversary edition CBR1000RR will have a retail price of $22,499, while the up-spec CBR1000RR SP has been set at $28,499.

Both the CBR1000RR and CBR1000RR SP have a huge range of chassis and engine improvements with the power to weight ratio across both models a 14 percent improvement thanks to a weight reduction of 15kg and a 7.5kW power increase.

Equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control, Selectable Engine Brake, Riding Mode Select System and Power Selector and full Showa suspension, the standard Blade will be available in Matte Ballistic Black Metallic and Victory Red.

The CBR1000RR SP has a host of added features including semi-active Öhlins Electronic Control suspension, a new titanium exhaust system and fuel tank plus Honda’s first lithium-ion battery in a motorcycle.
