Cycle 360

An all-access Australian view of road racing, presented by Alpinestars.

Welcome to the final Cycle 360 presented by Alpinestars of the year, where we reflect upon some good times and the year that was. With Christmas edging ever so closely, we’re beginning to wind down at CycleOnline.com.au for the season, as does the industry.

It’s not simply a case of computers off until January, but as of this coming Wednesday we will definitely be running in a ‘limp-mode’ of sorts. As news breaks we will still be staying on top of it, as we do, and we’ll be on social media, however in terms of feature content that will be back in 2017.

We’ve enjoyed a strong end to 2016 and there’s been plenty going on – both on- and off-track – but it’s definitely been more of a challenge to generate great content day in, day out of late. Thankfully we’ve managed to maintain momentum and the readers are still tuned in.

It’s not completely said and done in terms of racing though, as the final round of the Australasian Superbike Championship is taking place today at Sydney Motorsport Park, buoyed by the entry of last year’s British Superbike Championship winner Josh Brookes.

Weather definitely wasn’t ideal on Friday, but it is forecast to clear up over the weekend (finger’s crossed) and I’m sure Brookes will put on a great show alongside the best in that particular series – and there are plenty of champions to be crowned as well!

I wanted to personally thank everybody for their support from an advertising perspective, our audience for stopping by moreso than ever before, plus all the riders, teams and people within the industry who have been happy enough to work with us this season. Bring on 2017!

Anyway, that’s it from me for this week, thanks for stopping by as usual! Make sure you check out all of CycleOnline.com.au’s social networking channels and be sure to Like us on Facebook or Follow us on Twitter and Instagram for even more behind the scenes insights. Just search CycleOnline.
