Australian on track to impress home fans once again in 2017.
Queensland charger Anthony West is set to vie for victory once again as a high-profile wildcard in next month’s opening round of the 2017 World Supersport Championship at Phillip Island.
The experienced 35-year-old will compete aboard a privateer-entered West Racing Yamaha YZF-R6 on 24-26 February. Last year in a similar outing he starred on the way to third at the iconic Victorian venue.
West, who has raced internationally since 1999, is yet to confirm his plans for the full season after campaigning a mixture of World Superbike, WorldSSP, Asia Road Racing Championship and Australian championship events last year.
