South Australian back on the grid overseas after two-year layoff.
Motobreakers Racing has signed former Moto3 world championship regular Arthur Sissis to contest the 2017 Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship.
After graduating through the Red Bull Rookies Cup with runner-up in the 2011 standings, Sissis went to Moto3 with Red Bull KTM and claimed a podium at Phillip Island on his way to 12th overall.
The following season in 2013 was more difficult for the Aussie, finishing 15th in the standings, prompting a switch to Mahindra Racing for 2014. With a best finish of 13th in Germany, Sissis was dropped before the season was out.
The Adelaide talent has since proven to be competitive in speedway after going back to his roots, but will now attempt to resurrect his road racing career via the entry-level British series.
“Arthur needs no introduction – he has the ability to go and win races and challenge for the title,” commented team owner Shaun Rose. “He’s a great kid and we can’t wait to welcome him to England and get started testing.”
Sissis will be joined by Cameron Lee for the up and coming season, after showing great potential in his first full season last year in the Superstock 600 class, as well as ex-European Junior Cup racer Daniel Drayton.
