Motul Supersport race one:
Cube Racing’s Tom Toparis (Kawasaki) remained composed for the first Supersport race win of his short career at home in Goulburn, fending off a determined Giuseppe Scarcella (Kawasaki) on the final lap of 16. With the likes of title-leader Mason Coote (Yamaha), Mark Chiodo (Triumph) and Chris Quinn (Yamaha) all going down on lap one in damp conditions, plus Sam Muldoon (Kawasaki) crashing out on lap two, Toparis controlled the race from the front. An attack from Scarcella on the final lap saw him move to the front into turn two, but Toparis got him back almost through turn four and that’s how they stayed. Third across the line was another rookie in Sam Condon (Yamaha), as Nic Liminton (Yamaha) and Jordan Carlsson (Yamaha) filled the top five. Meanwhile, Coote remounted to salvage P13, with Chiodo 18th and Quinn 19th. Results as follows…

Yamaha Motor Insurance Superbike race one:
Crankt Protein Honda Racing’s Troy Herfoss stunned with a commanding victory in race one of the Yamaha Motor Insurance Superbikes after gambling to start from the rear of the grid using Pirelli slicks. With a quickly-drying track and the drizzle clearing, select riders opted to pit and switch from wets dry slick tyres. Herfoss swapped later than most, forcing him to start the warm-up lap from pit-lane and then start the race from the rear, but he swept to sixth on lap one and the lead by lap four. From there he sprinted away to a 3.955s victory after cruising through the final lap, ahead of Kawasaki pairing Robbie Bugden and Josh Hook – both starting from their grid places on slicks. It was particularly impressive of Hook on his older generation ZX-10R after changing his own tyres on the grid. Herfoss’ teammate Bryan Staring (Honda) rode to fourth despite a slow start, while privateer pairing Aaiden Coote (Kawasaki) and Adam Senior (Yamaha) starred on their way to fifth and sixth. With a wet front and slick rear, Beau Beaton (Ducati) rode to P7, while Yamaha’s initial leader Wayne Maxwell was first of the all-wet runners from what we could see in eighth. It was an eventual affair for Phillip Island winner Daniel Falzon (Yamaha), who started on wets and then pitted for his dry bike by lap four, climbing all the way to ninth, while Jack Baker could be satisfied in rounding out the top 10. Further down the order, Josh Waters was another to switch bikes for 12th, while front-row starter Cru Halliday (Yamaha) struggled his way on wets to a lowly 17th. Results as follows…

Motul Supersport race two:
It was another action-packed Supersport race, starting in dry conditions before rain caused a red flag stoppage. Once it got back underway with six laps remaining, it was Ted Collins (Suzuki) who fared best in the drying conditions for victory in the two-part race, 1.409s ahead of Nic Liminton (Yamaha) and Mason Coote (Yamaha), who claimed important points towards his title-chase, while Tom Toparis (Kawasaki) – from the rear of the restarted grid – and Lincoln Gilding (Yamaha) completed the top five. Overall for the round Toparis took the win, from Collins and Liminton, while in the championship Collins leads by one point over Coote and Sam Condon (Yamaha). Results as follows…

Yamaha Motor Insurance Superbike race two:
Yamaha Racing Team’s Wayne Maxwell was declared the victor in race two of the Yamaha Motor Insurance Superbikes, when a crash from Cru Halliday (Yamaha) caused a red flag in the closing stages. Officials called the race and Maxwell was the winner after leading the entire classified distance, however it was Troy Herfoss (Honda) who worked his way into the lead just prior to the stoppage. Because results reverted to lap 15, minus Halliday, Maxwell was credited the win by 0.527s over Herfoss and Daniel Falzon (Yamaha) in a lonely third. Josh Waters (Suzuki) was fourth this time around, from Bryan Staring (Honda) in P5. Kawasaki’s Robbie Bugden brought it home in sixth, as Matt Walters (Kawasaki) edged out Kyle Buckley (Kawasaki) and Beau Beaton (Ducati), with Michael Blair completing the top 10. Overall Herfoss was the winner ahead of Maxwell and Bugden. Fifth overall was enough for Falzon to maintain the points lead by 13 over Herfoss and a further four ahead of Bugden. Maxwell, meanwhile has climbed to fourth, a further 10 points back. Results as follows…

1. Wayne MAXWELL
