My Way

Greatest moment of your career?

2017 round one, finishing all three races on the podium.

Toughest race ever?

The Adelaide 3-Hour in 35-degree heat.

Long-term goal?

Australian Superbike champion.

Favourite track?

Mac Park, where I learned to ride.

Arch-rival?

Basically whoever is in front of me on-track.

If you weren’t a racer, you would be?

I honestly have no idea what I would do without racing.

Greatest inspiration?

My dad, as he was the one who got me into racing.

Superstitions?

Always put my right boot and glove on first, plus get on from the right-hand side of my bike.

Training methods?

I train with Jake Royle from Racefit Athlete Development.

Non bike-related hobbies?

Don’t really have any.

What car do you drive?

Still on my Learners, but own a Holden VY ute.

What’s your preferred music?

Usually whatever is playing on Triple J.

Best thing about racing in Australia?

Definitely how deep the field is this year, to have almost 40 bikes on all grids at round one was amazing for the Australian racing scene.

Who will win WorldSBK this year?

Have to put my money on Rea.

How about MotoGP?

I think Maverick will be hard to beat.

First bike?

KTM 50.

First proper injury?

Broke my arm racing motocross.

First time you got in a fight?

Don’t think I have really been in one.

Last holiday?

Halls Gap.

Last big crash you had?

Turn one at Rupuna, NZ.

One or the Other

Faster circuits or more technical circuits?

Definitely technical circuits suit me better I would rather a layout like Wakefield or Winton over Phillip island.

Monster or Red Bull?

Neither.

Don’t eat either.

MotoGP.
