Spaniard hopeful of turning season around starting this weekend at Brno.
Multi-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo is aiming to be more competitive in the second half of the prestigious MotoGP series, after what has been a relatively lacklustre season thus far.
The Ducati Team rider has endured a troubling first half of the year in his switch to Ducati, although he’s also demonstrated some impressive performances that we’re more familiar with, such as piloting his Desmosedici GP machine to third at Jerez.
The Spaniard is feeling confident going into Brno this weekend after the four-week summer break, expressing his strong urge to be mixing it up with the front runners in the closing nine rounds on the calendar.
“I have been training hard the last three weeks to prepare for the second part of the championship,” said Lorenzo. “Brno is a circuit where I feel really good and I think I can get a good performance out of my bike.
“It’s a track with lots of corners, all linked together, and I’ve got a lot of good memories here. I can’t wait to get back to working with my team to boost my competitiveness in the last nine rounds of the championship, and I’m sure we’ll make a big step forward.”
The MotoGP World Championship returns to action this weekend in the Czech Republic, marking the 10th round of the highly-regarded series.
