Australian British Supersport contender Benjamin Currie recorded a highly-impressive double podium at Cadwell Park’s eighth round of the 2017 MCE British Superbike (BSB) Championship last weekend.

Currie lodged 2-3 finishes in the two-race format, which he believes is a result of the hard work he’s been putting in off the bike in recent months despite admitting he’s struggled at the venue in previous appearances.

“It’s fantastic to be back on form at Cadwell Park,” said Currie. “It has always been a track I’ve struggled to get to grips with in the past. I’ve been working really hard off the bike, to believe that I can run with the top guys and that hard work has paid off.

“It’s a huge credit to the Gearlink Kawasaki team as they’ve always stuck by me, believing in me and working really hard for me. [It’s] back to working hard again now to get similar results or better at Silverstone.”

The Kawasaki rider is now positioned fifth in the championship standings as the British Superbike Championship heads to Silverstone on 8-10 September, marking the ninth stop on the calendar.
