Suzuki Motorcycles Australia has announced the 2018 GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F models are now available at dealers nation wide.

Born on the racetrack and raised on the street, the Suzuki GSX-S1000 range is derived from the legendary, championship-winning GSX-R1000. For 2018 the GSX-S1000 line-up receives a host of changes to further carry the spirit of GSX-R to the street.

Maximum output has been increased from the previous model’s 107kW (145ps) to 110kW (150ps) and maximum torque has also increased from 106Nm to 108Nm thanks to newly added crankcase ventilation holes which reduce pumping losses and comply with Euro 4 emissions regulations.

A back-torque-limiting clutch has been added to contribute to smoother downshifts and corner entry, while the the front brake hose has been updated for 2018 for improved initial stopping performance and feeling.

The GSX-S1000F’s windshield has been updated from clear to a smoke finish, whilst both models feature blacked-out footrests, gear levers, rear brake pedals and handlebar levers to compliment the GSX-S’ sinister styling.

Both faired and naked platforms will also sport two all-new colour schemes for 2018 – the popular Glass Sparkle Black, as the Candy Red colour scheme also returns for both models to satisfy the high customer demand.

The MY18 GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F are now available from Australian dealerships for a recommended retail price of $15,190 (+ORC) and $15,990 (+ORC) respectively. For more information, visit www.suzukimotorcycles.com.au.
