Honda Racing’s Jason O’Halloran is endeavouring to unlock his full potential this weekend at Assen’s penultimate round of the MCE British Superbike Championship (BSB), as he aims to repeat his podium performance at the venue from last year.

The Australian endured a difficult round at the previous stop of the series in Oulton Park, lodging 10-8 results, which saw him drop to sixth in the series standings.

O’Halloran said he enjoys the Dutch circuit, stating he just needs the pieces of the puzzle to fall together in order to return to the podium.

“I always get excited in the run up to Assen,” O’Halloran commented. “It’s a circuit I haven’t raced a lot at, but it’s one I really enjoy. I love its fast and flowing nature and because of this you get exciting, close racing.

“There’s always great support from the UK fans and also the Dutch fans, so there’s always a good atmosphere across the weekend. Last year we had a good round and produced a podium, so this weekend we will hit it as we normally do and I really hope we can realise our full potential this weekend. We’ve been so close recently so now we need to put all the pieces of the puzzle together and achieve strong results.”

With just two rounds remaining on the 12-stop calendar, the factory Honda rider has limited time to move up the standings and finish the year off in a satisfying position.
