Australian Jack Miller has lodged his second-consecutive top 10 finish after charging to eighth at Sepang’s penultimate round of the MotoGP World Championship on Sunday.

Miller, who’s still recovering from a fractured leg sustained a month ago, suffered from a lack of grip in the early stages, however regained feeling towards to end of the 20-lap affair, picking off a number of positions to finish well inside the points.

“The opening laps were not easy with the grip levels,” Miller explained. “It was a struggle to stay on the track especially when I was on the left side of the tyre, I was just trying to stay on two wheels – it was a little scary.

“But from halfway in the race the rear tyre started working better and I was able to make up some positions and grab eighth. Overall a good weekend, I was very strong in the dry and this was my second top ten since coming back from the broken leg so I’m now looking for more points in Valencia.”

The EG 0,0 Marc VDS rider currently sits 12th in the championship standings as just one round remains in the prestigious series, scheduled for 12 November at Valencia in Spain.
