Motorcycle manufacturers have started releasing their new model line-ups to be presented at the 2017 Sydney Motorcycle Show presented by Shannon’s Insurance at the International Convention Centre Sydney.

An incredible array of new motorcycles are currently en route to Sydney just days after being unveiled at the EICMA show in Europe.

Also in transit are motorcycles representing two of the world’s most famous sportsmen. Yamaha Motor Australia has confirmed Valentino Rossi’s YZR-M1 Motor GP bike will be on display.

Meanwhile MV Agusta will introduce the road-going Lewis Hamilton RVS Limited Edition F4 LH44 to the Australian market. MV Agusta will also unveil the Brutale 800 Pirelli Special Edition and Brutale RR 2018 model.

Kawasaki Motorcycles will not only unveil four new models, but will also display the Deus 7900RS custom build projects and a ZX-10R racing machine. The new Kawasaki motorcycles to be launched at the show include the Ninja HT SX SE, Z900RS, Z900RS Cafe and Ninja 400.

Royal Enfield will pull the covers off the retro-inspired Interceptor 650 and GT Continental 650 twins. Designed for fun and to be accessible to everyone, these bikes will turn heads. Another twin to make its Australian debut is the Benelli Leoncino 502cc twin.

Harley-Davidson’s Sport Glide custom cruiser will be shown for the first time on Australian shores. Dubbed the factory custom that can do it – cruise, commute or tour – the Sport Glide is the latest addition to the new 2018 Harley-Davidson Softail range.

Italian manufacturer Ducati will release four new models, including the highly anticipated Panigale V4. Developed in collaboration with Ducati Corse, this road-going motorcycle is as close as it gets to its MotoGP counterpart. Other bikes scheduled for release include the MTS 1260 S Touring, MTS 1260 Pikes Peak and SCR 1100 Eleven Special.

Yamaha Motor Australia has confirmed a huge line-up to include the all-new Wolverine X4 a four-seater adventure four-wheeler, the all-new YZ450F with electric start and world first martphone app tuning. For the urban two-wheel fan Yamaha is exhibiting a new range of scooters in their own Metro Centro area and these are just a few of the bikes to be on display.

Husqvarna’s café racer, the Vitpilen 701, will be popular with visitors to the show. This eagerly-anticipated bike is a bold step into new territory for Husqvarna and is inspired by the resurgence of the iconic flat track scene. As well as the Vitpilen 701, the Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 will also be presented.

KTM has confirmed it will launch the Duke 790, while Gas Gas will introduce the Enduro GP 250 Limited Edition race replica.

Event organiser Troy Bayliss said the show would reveal an unprecedented number of new motorcycles during Friday’s media walk.

“Each year the Friday media walk is eagerly anticipated as manufacturers unveil the latest motorcycles in the world to Australian enthusiasts,” Bayliss said. “Manufacturers remain tight-lipped in some cases even until Friday as they wait for the bikes to pass customs and be delivered directly to the show.

“To have Valentino Rossi’s bike at the show is incredible. It is extremely rare for these factory racing bikes to make it to Australia and we encourage all race fans to come and check it out, it may be the only chance you will get to see it up close.”

The Sydney Motorcycle Show public media walk will be held from 10:00am-12:30pm, with every 15 minutes allocated timeslot already secured by manufacturers.

Showcasing the latest motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, side-by-sides and much more, the 2017 Sydney Motorcycle Show will give visitors the opportunity to engage with industry experts, test ride a range of both adults and children’s motorcycles as well as be entertained by a full program of demonstrations, stunts, and special features.

The 2017 Sydney Motorcycle Show presented by Shannons Insurance is managed by Troy Bayliss Events on behalf of the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries.
