Husqvarna redefines Australian street style with milestone Motorcycle range

HQVA press release:

New street motorcycles set to redefine Australian urban motorcycling have been unveiled by global motorcycling pioneer, Husqvarna Motorcycles at the Sydney Motorcycle Show.

The reveal took place as part of the country’s first ever motorcycle fashion show featuring designs inspired by the progressive style of the street motorcycles. The new models, Vitpilen and Svartpilen are designed unlike any other on Australian roads.

True to Husqvarna’s motorcycling heritage, they feature the latest technology for a smooth and ultra-modern ride, and embrace purity and simplicity in their style, reflective of the brand’s Swedish roots.

Together with unique felts and humble, yet bold tones, the motorcycles provide an unrivalled classic sophistication. The brief to emulate the design of the motorcycles was unmistakable in the garments on the catwalk.

Created as part of a competition by alumni from Whitehouse Institute of Design, the one-off collection featured timeless but edgy male and female outfits. Paris Nugan was selected the overall winner, with her sheike leather pant and jacket combo featuring the Husqvarna colours.

On the Australian launch, Husqvarna Australia General Manager, Jeff Leisk said, “Our Vitpilen and Svartpilen models encapsulate the bare essence of what motorcycles should be. They are about the raw, simple and universal joy of riding a motorbike in style and we are thrilled to introduce Australians to them.

“The talented designers we have been working with have brought the models to life in an extremely impressive way and we are looking forward to heralding a new era of urban motorcycling next year.”

Vitpilen is available in 401cc and 701cc lines and Svartpilen is available in 401cc, so freedom seekers of any riding ability can get behind the handle bars. The 701cc unit is ideal for those who want a powerful ride, whilst the 401cc units are learner legal and perfect for everyday contemporary style.

The Husqvarna street motorcycles will be available to buy in Australia in the second quarter of 2018. For more information and enquiries, go to
