Australian Superbike Championship ‘Rookie of the Year’ Corey Turner will ride a Brisbane Motorcycles Racing Suzuki GSX-R1000 in the 2018 season.

The 20-year-old has officially announced his move after DesmoSport Ducati signed team co-owner and triple world champion Troy Bayliss for the new year.

“We have some really good support, which is good, and I’m excited to ride with Brisbane Motorcycles Racing on the Suzuki,” Turner told CycleOnline.com.au. “It’s all come together and I will be on the GSX-R1000, with my uncle [Peter Turner] from Motorcycle Exhaust Professionals as the crew chief.”

Turner was impressive throughout the opening four rounds of this year aboard a privately-run Yamaha, finishing as high as fourth overall in Darwin – a performance that led to his DesmoSport ride – and claiming ninth in the final standings.
