Australian team JDS Moto will compete in Europe full-time during 2018, announcing it will contest the CIV Italian Championship.

R3 Cup and Supersport 300 front-runner Jack Mahaffy will enter the Supersport 300 class aboard a Yamaha, while Moto3 champion Joel Kelso will line-up in Pre-Moto3 on a RMU PM3.

“We believe that some of the best young Australian riders can be successful, given the right environment and support required to compete in a high-level international competition,” explained team principal Jake Skate. “The team’s aim is to help riders develop and prepare for a future in professional racing.

“We hope our move to a European championship will continue to be available for future riders from Australia and we are able provide a platform from where the next generation of Australian motorcycle racing champions can launch their international careers from.”

In a bid to strengthen its international prospects, JDS Moto are currently seeking corporate partners for the season ahead in support of the two talented young Australian racers. Contact [email protected] for details.
