Tech3 Racing’s Remy Gardner has completed his first test of the 2018 pre-season during the official outing at Valencia in Spain this week, continuing to develop the Mistral 610.

Gardner, who enters his second term with the French Tech3 team, was 15th overall after posting a fastest lap of 1m37.033s after the opening day of action was rained out altogether.

“On day one we couldn’t get any riding in, because it was too wet and too cold,” Gardner said. “In the course of the following days we had dry conditions and therefore the opportunity to get back the feeling with the bike.

“It was a good test, we found out some things that are really important, which hopefully leads us into the right direction for the future. We still need to work on the setting, as we struggle a bit with some chatter, but I’m sure we will get there.”

Gardner was partnered with new teammate Bo Bendsneyder for the first time, the latter who ended up in 12th overall. Topping the time-sheet was Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team), while in Moto3 it was Honda-mounted Jorge Martin (Del Conca Gresini) who led the way.
